John Weisgerber is a licensed engineer with extensive experience in rail, including inspecting and testing transit infrastructure. He provides technical expertise for state safety oversight programs, including audits of vehicle maintenance programs.

Mr. Weisgerber has provided safety oversight support for State Safety Oversight (SSO) programs throughout the U.S., including triennial audits of track, structures, traction power, train control and vehicle maintenance programs. Mr. Weisgerber has extensive experience inspecting and testing transit and railroad infrastructure, including track geometry, track strength, and ultrasonic testing for domestic and international railroads and a number of domestic rail transit agencies. He has been involved in evaluations of a variety of rolling stock including freight locomotives and rail transit vehicles for overall performance and for specific properties. Mr. Weisgerber has over 45 years of experience involved with the infrastructure and rolling stock of railroads and rail transit systems. He has worked with most of the Class 1 railroads as well as a number of short lines in North America and with a number of railroads in other countries. He has also worked with the maintenance and engineering departments of a number of US transit agencies. He is highly familiar with many operating and maintenance practices of the various railroads and transit agencies.
