Project Analyst

With an MS in city and regional planning and a writing and community development background to TRA, Lauri supports state safety oversight and rail transit agencies with accident investigations, audits, corrective actions, and safety plan compliance.

GREGORY N. ROBINSON

Senior Consultant

Gregory joins TRA with over 40 years of experience - over 30 in rail & APM operations and ten in aerospace engineering. With expertise in control center operations, rules, and procedures development, he supports safety audits and investigations.

PAMELA MCCOMBE

Senior Director Engineering and Safety

Pamela McCombe brings over 35 years of experience to TRA managing a variety of complex bus and rail projects while achieving the highest degree of technical excellence that addresses the client’s needs.

Principal

Christopher Wallgren is a transportation operations expert, leading multidisciplinary teams in conducting comprehensive reviews of operations, maintenance, safety, and security & emergency management, and developing management plans for these areas.

DYLAN LAWSON

Project Analyst

Dylan has a background in chemical engineering and sustainability which he applies to oversight of mostly Pennsylvanian transit agencies. Working as a project analyst, he supports the team to ensure ongoing safe operations.

RONALD ESTER

Senior Director

Ronald Ester has over 30 years of executive leadership experience in the transit industry, specializing in operations, control center management, and safety. Ron supports auditing, inspections, and oversight activities.

AMELIJA SORG-TAYLOR

Senior Project Manager

Amelija specializes in regulatory oversight of rail agencies which includes operations, maintenance, training, security, emergency preparedness, and safety certification. She currently assists numerous SSOA and agency clients.

ROBERT J. KOGAN

Principal

Robert Kogan has extensive experience guiding clients through a variety of technical consulting projects in transit safety, security, operations, and maintenance. He leads and implements focused and effective safety and security program activities.

EMMA FORBES

Project Analyst

Emma, a former researcher of bio-inspired engineering, works with transit agencies on corrective actions, safety promotion, and continuous improvement. She assists safety agencies with field reviews, inspections, and instructional material design.

EMILY ROSENBERG

Intern

Emily is excited to be a TRA summer intern. She is a rising senior in Urban Studies with a double minor in Data Science and Environmental Studies at Bryn Mawr College and is passionate about supporting the TRA team and promoting transit safety.

GRACE PARRIS

Senior Analyst

Grace’s background is in rail operations, training, and traffic analysis. Her work at TRA includes managing corrective action plans, conducting inspections, and audits for multiple state safety oversight projects.

Kenneth Korach has been responsible for the company’s strategy, direction and overall service offering since TRA's inception. He has over 40 years’ experience in transport management, safety and performance assessments, and regulatory analysis.

IAN THOMAS

Project Analyst

Ian Thomas is a Project Analyst with a background in architectural design and construction management who focuses on leveraging prior experiences towards rail transit oversight in support of protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public.

CHRISTOPHER TIRRI

Project Analyst

Chris holds an M.S. in urban and regional planning and has 10 years of writing education experience. As a project analyst, Chris assists clients with conducting triennial audits, reviewing accident reports and PTASPs, and developing RBI programs.

Intern

An upcoming second-year graduate student in Data Science at the University of Pennsylvania, Alice is thrilled to join TRA as a data analyst intern. She has experience in big data analytics, machine learning, and database management.

Senior Consultant

As a transportation industry veteran, Mr. Gourdine has experience in transit investigation, Safety Management Systems, and emergency preparedness via protocols that identify systemic or organizational deficiencies and develop corrective action.

Senior Director, Engineering

John Weisgerber is a licensed engineer with extensive experience in rail, including inspecting and testing transit infrastructure. He provides technical expertise for state safety oversight programs, including audits of vehicle maintenance programs.

As a summer intern, Sophie is excited to learn about TRA and its operations. She is an upcoming senior at Villanova University. She studies environmental science and economics and is committed to learning about transit safety and TRA's projects.

Joining TRA in 2020, Captain Bumbera has over 30 years of security experience and specializes in State Safety Oversight for security and emergency preparedness.

Daniel Hauber specializes in transport safety, operations, and maintenance consulting projects. He focuses on procedures, planning, audits, and business process and maintenance condition assessments. He is proud to work with TRA's amazing team.

Antoinette Means manages the TRA headquarters office, coordinating internal administrative processes and office operations.

Nia Simmonds is a Project Analyst who brings an engineering background to TRA's state safety oversight and operations and management projects, including PennDOT and the City of Cincinnati.

Chiare Vernon leverages her expertise in transit security, safety, operations, and maintenance to provide technical, programmatic, and analytic input. She assists in state safety oversight program management of rail transit agencies.

Brenda Korach serves as TRA’s General Counsel. She has over 30 years of experience in corporate law, contracts, and intellectual property.

Executive Director, Security and Emergency Preparedness

Joining TRA in 2012, Major Sabol brings nearly 40 years of experience in the security and emergency preparedness field. He specializes in threat and risk assessments for clients in the transportation, maritime, aviation and petrochemical industries.

Hanna Jacobs is Project Analyst who brings a planning background to TRA. Hanna works with numerous state safety oversight agencies including on-site coordination, safety audits, and program analysis.

LTC Scott Poulton is a Certified Emergency Manager specializing in security and emergency management projects. With over 26 years of experience, he provides expertise in planning, response capability development, ICS training, and exercises.

Brian Mollot develops pragmatic solutions related to transit operations and maintenance. Brian focuses on managing safety event investigations and identifying root causes to prevent reoccurrence of hazardous conditions through detailed mitigations.

Kathleen Seese supports numerous state safety oversight projects. Her work includes ensuring agency compliance with state and federal requirements, investigating events, tracking training requirements, and reviewing safety plans.

Samuel Korach manages transit safety and security oversight support throughout the State of Florida. Sam leads multi-disciplinary teams through internal and external audits, special assessments, regulatory inspections, and operational analyses.

Project Manager

Charles has expertise in rail system safety, regulatory compliance, and operations. He has coordinated on-site audits and works with our clients to lead the review of accident reports, agency safety documents, and corrective action documentation.

Christopher Kozub manages state safety oversight programs and serves as a subject matter expert on transportation operations, fire/life-safety, and security issues, with over 30 years of experience in safety, emergency response, and training.

Olivia Marcus supports numerous state safety oversight projects. She works to ensure that rail transit agencies comply with federal and state legislation through data analysis, on-site reviews, and assisting in audits.

Bon Provenzano supports clients with expertise in signaling, communications, and train control systems. He has extensive Quality and Systems Assurance experience in rail project delivery, transit operations and maintenance, and Systems Safety.

Patty Paxson leads internal business processes, including contract management, finance, insurance, and project coordination. She ensures organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety through the implementation of proven workflow procedures.

Mark Jansen brings international expertise in transportation management and operations. He works with clients across multiple states, developing relationships to improve internal processes, agency safety plans and state safety oversight reporting.

Elise Brosnan supports both state safety oversight and rail transit agencies, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements and providing organizational and safety data analytics and visualization.

Senior Project Manager

Joshu Shih has expertise in transit operations, safety, and security, working with government and public transportation agencies on operations, rule compliance, and training; accident/incident investigation; and corrective action plan support.

Erik Larson supports TRA’s safety management, rail and bus transit operations and maintenance program, emergency management, training development and delivery, safety audits, and oversight programs.

JAMES S. YOUNG

Senior Project Manager

James Young helps transit agencies and state governments implement and improve safety plans and procedures, rule compliance audits, and accident investigations. He manages the execution of safety reviews for new systems prior to and during operation.

JAMES E. HILL

Chief of Police (retired)/Vice President

Chief James Hill is responsible for TRA's projects in the areas of security, emergency management, anti-terrorism, and threat vulnerability risk assessment. Jim joined TRA after completing a twenty-five year career in transportation law enforcement.
