TRA’s Security and Emergency Preparedness team facilitated a multi-agency full-scale exercise on the Commodore Barry Bridge. This exercise was the third in TRA’s exercise program for the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA), which included both a tabletop and a functional exercise. Key partners in these exercises included the DRPA, Delaware County Office of Emergency Management, Delaware County Department of Emergency Services, New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Police, the United States Coast Guard, and multiple city and township fire departments.
With this full-scale exercise, TRA provided all stakeholders the opportunity to test their interoperable communications, coordination with firefighting operations, and unified incident command processes. Exercises like this one underscore the DRPA’s commitment to emergency preparedness, regional resiliency, and coordination among public safety and emergency response partners throughout the region.
