TRA assisted Port Authority Trans Hudson (PATH) in developing a security plan for the permanent World Trade Center Transportation Hub and for the entire PATH rail system.
TRA staff members met with PATH personnel, as well as Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ) personnel from numerous departments to develop a comprehensive security plan that will accurately reflect the security program to be implemented at the WTC Transportation Hub, and at PATH. TRA staff also assisted PANYNJ in incorporating industry best practices into its security program, including designing and developing immediate action drills and transit specific protective measures in response to the Homeland Security Advisory System.
