TRA provided services to assist the Joint Powers Board (JPB) in developing a comprehensive Safety and Security Certification (SSC) program and a Change Control program.
TRA has worked with JPB to draft and finalize a Safety and Security Certification Program Plan and a Change Control Standard Operating Procedure. TRA also worked with JPB staff to develop Safety and Security Certification Plans (SSCPs) for specific projects and assisting in implementing those project-specific plans. The Change Control program has been implemented with TRA guidance and assistance.
TRA has also provided as-needed consulting services to Caltrain, and evaluated the impact of new FRA grade crossing regulations on Caltrain operations and conducted a review of railroad pedestrian crossing issues as they pertain to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. TRA also provided safety training to employees on roadway worker protection rules and conducting safety audits.
