How did you begin working at TRA? Who was your first client?
I started working at TRA after spending a year as an intern here working on various projects, including a guide for conducting safety audits. My first major client was the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA), conducting a comprehensive Threat and Vulnerability Assessment for the Port Authority Transportation Corporation (PATCO).
What do you like most about your job?
I really enjoy working with various stakeholders, which include clients, transit agencies, and other supporting groups. Seeing how other transit agencies operate throughout the country is especially intriguing, as I am able to identify best practices in safety and security and subsequently share that information with other agencies.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I currently have four cats that more or less cooperate with each other.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I really enjoy traveling to new places. When I have the time, I work on perfecting my baking skills – particularly macarons. I occasionally practice my painting skills, as well.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
I have gotten to travel a bit in other countries, but I would like to take some time to take a road trip and visit more U.S. national parks in the near future.
