TRA performed a security assessment of Community Transit facilities, including operating bases and park-and-ride lots, located throughout Snohomish County in Seattle’s northern suburbs.
TRA developed a five-year video surveillance plan for Community Transit, helped the bus-based transit system prioritize its investments in security technology such as CCTV and AVL, and recommended security countermeasures, including perimeter controls and facility access measures based in the practical realities of running an inherently open transit system. TRA assessed facilities for vulnerabilities and used this information to enhance Community Transit’s security planning efforts.
