TRA conducted an overview of BART’s processes for maintaining passenger station cleanliness, its processes for evaluating passenger station cleanliness, and the means by which surveys are used to improve stations maintenance processes.
TRA also conducted a peer review of similar transit agencies to document key elements of rail transit stations cleaning programs, organization of stations cleanings, and agencies’ approach to passenger station surveys. The overview culminated with specific and detailed findings and recommendations which were delivered in a final report.
