We are very happy to welcome Amelija Sorg-Taylor back to the TRA team. Amelija is a senior project manager with nearly a decade of transit experience, most of which has come with TRA. She has worked with TRA clients and stakeholders on projects in operations and maintenance, rail state safety oversight, threat and vulnerability assessments, and security risk assessments. Today, though, let’s get to know Amelija outside of project work!

Where is your favorite place you’ve visited for work?

• I can’t pick a favorite! But if I had to…a split between Chicago and Honolulu – totally different cities, both super cool transit systems. Guess I love an elevated transit system.

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

• I love to travel and especially explore cities, but my next big bucket list item is to explore Patagonia. Those stunning landscapes!

What is your favorite thing about your job?

• I really enjoy working with diverse clients with unique needs, and with that, I really enjoy getting onsite and seeing the unique systems across the country and bring lessons learned from projects to improve industry needs.

What’s your favorite food?

• I could never ever get tired of anything Indian food; probably my favorite cuisine since I was a youngin.

Do you have a pet?

• Two sweet cat sisters – Mazzy and Talula
